The game of Teen Patti is quite easy to play and has quite a few similarities to poker. It is usually played with a standard 52 deck card, and between 3-8 players. All the players place an initial bet, which is of a predetermined amount. This is known as boot amount or `ante´ bet. Once all the players have placed their ante bets, the dealer deals 3 cards to each player, one at a time, face down.
Now the players can either see their cards, and can continue playing by placing bets if they feel they have a strong hand, or they can bet even without seeing their cards, playing `blind´. The bet amount for `blind´ play is usually half the amount of those who bet after seeing their cards. A player can even `raise´ the bets if they have a strong hand.
Those who feel that their hands are not good can choose to `fold´ or `pack´, and quitting the game. The betting rounds go on till only two players remain. One can even do `side shows´ with adjacent players to compare their cards.
Once only two players remain in the game, they can have a `show´. The player with the higher hand wins.
